Whether it's providing homeowners with financing for new or retrofit system installations, or power purchase agreements (PPAs) to public and private sector commercial customers, SPI has the financing options to meet the requirements of virtually all of our customers.

| Power Purchase Agreements |
A Power Purchase Agreement, or PPA, is used to finance a large-scale, commercial solar power system through the generation and sales of electricity. PPAs are contracts developed between SPI and a third-party to generate and sell electricity at a contracted rate to an SPI customer. SPI administers the contract between the third-party and the customer, and at the end term of the contract the customer takes ownership of the system, essentially using it to generate electricity for free. Under a PPA arrangement, the third-party enjoys the benefits of the tax credits associated with a solar power system purchase, while the customer is able to amortize the cost of the system at a predetermined rate over a fixed period of time.
